The Beatles ~ Billy J.Kramer with the Dakotas ~ Cilla Black ~ The Searchers – December 1963 “Thank Your Lucky Stars” at ABC’s Alpha TV Studios, Aston Cross, Birmingham - December 1963 Genuine original photograph acquired by my father. This image is from my own private collection. The image shows the following artists, during a break in rehearsals, for a promotional photo shoot. If you look carefully at the background you will see vertical lettering "PAUL" "GEORGE" "RINGO" and JOHN" Top Row; John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney Middle Row: Billy J.Kramer, Ray Jones, Ringo Starr, Chris Curtis, Mike Pender Bottom Row; Tony Mansfield, Robin MacDonald, Mike Maxfield, Cilla Black, Tony Jackson, John McNally This picture has been reproduced from my own original 35mm negative. This image has been taken on a Leica 111B which is still in full working order. The quality of this negative is quite exceptional considering the technology that was available to photographers in the 1960s. Although near similar photographs may have been taken at the same time, by other media photographers, these have remained unseen and unpublished in the public domain. This negative has been carefully scanned at high resolution and digitally enhanced, where necessary, in Photoshop. To remove every mark and blemish would have spoilt the true character and integrity of the image. Therefore, this photograph is not blemish free. A real piece of history. I hope that you have many years of pleasure looking at this on your wall. Image size A3 Supplied on a Satin Photographic paper, SRA3 = Size 330mm x 483mm.
